First the EOTech. This is my first time with my own EOTech and I liked it. I was supprised at how bright it seems when you turn it on inside compaired to how dim it actually seemed when I was outside in the sunlight and turned it on. I guess that is just physics though not anything to do with the item. I have it mounted in the last slot on the upper with the battery hangin gout over the delta ring and it seemed to add little weight to the front of the gun. It was very easy to manipulate the SBR from target to target. Those of you that already have EOTechs will not be supprisedby this but those that dont and are considering one, helpfull.

SAS M47 Suppressor. Again this was my first experience with any suppressor other than the few rounds I blew off when I got it. I shot it from both my 16in carbine and my 10.5 SBR. Funcition was flawless on both rifles. I learned a lesson on switching cans while shooting and wont put a hot can on a cold rifle any more. Shooting the rifle I could tell a difference in the sound but it did not seem like that much until I stood back and let somebody else shoot it. WOW. Big difference. SCROD and I were show and telling with a couple of guys that were there praticing for IPSC and one of them had never shot a AR so SCROD let him shoot his 16 inch and I walked up to the other guy and offered the SBR with can. I said that he had an AR and that he had shot it many time. Well the other guy wanted to shoot it also so I let him. I guess to this point the first guy thought that I had a 16inch with a shroud around the barrel to look cool. When his buddy started ripping off rounds the first guys eyes got as big a plates and he said "I dont have one of those". Any way back to the review, standing back there was an obvious reduction in signature and though I was wearing muffs it still was comparible to the guys a few lanes over shooting a Henry lever action .22LR.

Now to the MAGPUL AFG. I wish I could say anything specific about it but to tell you the truth I forgot it was on the rifle. We did some snapshooting we did some standing around like we were on guard duty, and we did some shooting from both the bench and prone. The grip was very natural especially coming from my history with M16s that had nothing but plain handguards. The forward grip with my thumb up above the line of bore yeilded very good control over the rifle and for control of recoil. Pretty much it was so natural and comfy that I forgot it was there.

Hope you guys find some of this usefull.

And for the pics.

SBR with can and a ERGO FVG.

Now once the AFG was added. This is the configuration I was shooting at the range.

As you can see the AFG gives a very clean and finished look when comined with rail panels on the side. It also seems to add some extra "E" to the EBR especially when combined with an SBR and can.
