Nice bag. thumbsup.gif

Now that you are buying all this gun stuff do yourself a favor and get a C&R.

I saved the cost of the license on my first Midway purchase. You would have saved $10 just on this.

I've got one of these bags. My only complaint is that it's still not big enough. I guess I'll have to pick up another one--especially at this price. Thanks for the heads up!

I am going to vote for the Cheap Side. I have several bags around the house that came from lord knows where and any of them work fine as a range bag. The one I am currently using came free from the NRA when I joined up a few months ago. It easily holds four gun rugs and or cased pistols.

The big thing I think is using something else for hauling ammo. I like a surplus metal ammo box. Ammo is the bulk of the weight I have to deal with when going shooting. I am don't want to cram everything into one bag and feel like I am lugging a set of free weights around with me. No big deal to carry the bag and also carry the ammo box.

Altogether the current setup might have cost me $15.

I have owned 2 of these bags, and sadly they do not last, about 5 months ago I bought this http://www.shootersconnection.com/shootingbag.htm while the price is High, I find it better to buy something once and it lasts a lifetime,

Best regards,

Hmm. Exact same bag... so I assume you are referring to the build quality being better? Granted, time will only tell for sure... but I inspected the bag and actually tugged, twisted, and shook the hell out of it to the point that my wife looked at me funny (nothing out of the norm). :P

What issues did you have with the Midway bag? Seams tear apart? Zippers break? Curious, so I can keep an eye on any potential problems.

5.11 also makes this same bag (as the Midway and Shooters Connection) for about $10 cheaper than the SC bagged you linked. And I can actually get it for $30 cheaper than 5.11 lists it, if I felt like shelling out that kinda cash for a bag. I find it odd that any of the 3 are better than the others, as they're the exact same design with different branding. :)

Like I said... time and use will be the true test, but I'd like to know about any specifics issues you had so I can prevent having my gear dump out on the ground. Thanks! ;)

EDIT: Re-read the item description for the SC bag... seems the only real difference is the metal skeleton on the inside, showcased by them stacking 140lbs of weight ontop of it. Pretty beefy protection for your gear, but I don't really plan on testing their claims. lol. All of the other construction and features look the same though.

It depends how full you pack it, I was carrying a lot of weight in my bags, the seams came apart from being crammed so full. The amount of stuff I packed in both of those bags was too much for them, it may serve you fine and I hope it does, I am much harder on my gear than most people I would suspect, if you do not Pack 1000 rounds of 45ACP, two pair of Pro Ears, cleaning kits and 20 Magazines, 4 pistols in your bag it will be fine, myself I bought one that will survive the torture that I put it through,

Peace!

Good to know.

Thanks for posting your experience and warnings! Wasn't at all trying to argue with you, so I hope you knew where I was coming from and didn't perceive my replies as such. I'm pretty sure that you didn't. I genuinely wanted to know what issues you had, so I can watch out for them and replace the bag if I encounter them as well. :)

Thanks again!

On a side note, how do you like your Pro-Ears?

I started a thread inquiring on hearing protection and opinions of different brands. Would be interested in a review/opinions of them, as I was eyeing their slim design.

Thread : http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2811

I have 2 pair of Dimension 1 PRO MAG PLUS, I love them, they are far better than I imagined, I have not tried the slim, but I highlly reccomend anything from them,
