Wanting to buy a Barrett 50 cal

There are plenty places to shoot it.... in Montana, AZ, NM, NV, WY, ND, SD and South Africa.

TN is a bit low on 400yd+ ranges, I can't think of any.

Yes it does but they don't allow 50bmg!

The TWRA at Stones River will not allow 50BMG rither, I hear. However, I have seen a .336 Lupa and Maybe a .408 Cheytac shoot there before. Not sure why they dont like the fiddy.

With all the un-develop land in TN, what do you mean there is no place too shoot ???? I ran around like a NINJA, hiding from the LEO's shooting my 50 BMG in the city, (I always make sure I use a BERM as a back-stop) Where I was shooting, one idiot shot his friend by accident, & now the place has steel gates & a big BILLBOARD sign saying "NO TRESPASSING", NO SHOOTING, NO HUNTING, NO ATV, NO HORSE-BACK RIDING !!!

Dont listen to this guy. This sneaking around with a .50 and shooting on land that isnt yours will get you put in jail and on the news. We already have one idiot giving gun owners a bad name on the local news. We dont need another.

There is a 1000 meter range on Tullahoma training site (on AEDC) ran by the National Guard but I dont know if they open it up for private citizens. There is also one on Catoosa Training site, which is actually in Georgia, but is ran by the TN National Guard. Dont ask me why.

+1 While there's plenty of land here in Tennessee, you can't just run up on any "open areas" you find, especially shooting a .50 BMG, there could be something way down range you don't see.

My recommendation would be to ask around here and else where for folks who have land that would allow you to come out one day and shoot. And when you find someone who has some, let me know, cuz I wanna come!

Yeah Ronnie Barrett actually goes to Terry's place to shoot quite often. From what I understand they are good friends. But yeah, I love Terry's place, I went there this morning actually.

Yeah, the guy that had the one I fired said he worked for Barrett and the guns he had with him were company guns, he had a few other Barret rifles with him.
