Clarksville Man, In Underwear, Kills Deer - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A Clarksville man, wearing only boxers and sandals, has bagged a deer, finishing a kill some other hunter failed to complete.

The Leaf-Chronicle quoted Joel Borden who said his friends are making a "big deal" of his hunting attire and his weapon -- a stick.

Borden said he was fixing a cup of coffee in his kitchen Saturday morning when he saw the wounded deer stumble into his back yard. He went outside and the deer ran into nearby woods with Borden in pursuit.

Borden said he knocked the deer unconscious with a tree limb, then cut its throat. The result was a refrigerator full of venison.

Dale Grandstaff with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says the agency often gets calls from people who find wounded deer that hunters failed to track and kill.

Give that man a gold plated "Man Card" right the hell now. If you crossbred his DNA with the soldier in Afghanistan that got in the firefight wearing boxer shorts you would have created a super-soldier.

Do you need a hunting license to kill a deer with a stick?

If I understand properly...not if you are the sole owner of the farmland (not sure if applies here) it was taken on, and you call it in to TWRA so they can add to their harvest numbers.

Landowners, their spouses and children who hunt on

farmland which is owned by said landowners. The

aforementioned must be residents of Tennessee but

need not reside on the land. This license exemption

does not apply if the farmland is owned jointly or in

common by unrelated persons.

With all the holiday cheer bestowed upon me, I'll gladly transfer the internet to my local brother, The "Punisher," for the internet is a gift to be shared by its originator, Al Gore.

That's pretty cool, but I got a funnier one for ya!

My brother killed a small buck that he saw out his bathroom window while he was "doing his business." :owned: His bathroom window faces out toward a large cow pasture on his property. It was deer season, and he kept his 30.06 in the bathroom because he frequently would go in there and peek out the window looking for deer. Well, he was sitting on the toilet and saw this buck, opened the window, grabbed his gun, and "Bang!"

He did finish what he was doing before he went out to get the deer though.:)

My boss printed this story out yesterday and brought it to me. He then had to point out the fact that "this guy can kill a deer in his underwear with a stick, and you can't even kill one while you're wearing camo and have a gun". :D I've only seen 3 deer in the woods all year long, and those were all on the same day.
