Nope. But a few months ago, we shot lots of old, OLD, cruddy, oxidized paper ones as well as plastic ones and they all shot. I'm talking from the 80s.

Paper shells??? Go way on past the 80's.

I was buying plastic shells in '65.

Sorry everyone for the error. I'm just a puppy with no true historical knowledge.

I've got some paper shells in m closet right now. A little affraid to fire them but really don't know what to do with the damned things. I'd say they are from just before or just after WWII from artwork on the box they're in.

Ya know people collect stuff like that. Not me, I like old bullets, just sayin'. Some people just shoot it. It won't hurt the gun.

I've recently shot some reloads and factory 12 and 20 ga dating back to the late 60's. So my take on it is if it's not corroded or look to have been under water.. load & shoot it.

Wow, I didn't click on your link first, obviously.

For some reason, I just assumed it was a writeup re ammo longevity.

I remember shooting paper shells when I was young.

A good dry day and they shot fine.

Nice wet/damp day, you'd have to dig the shell out of the cylinder.

If they would go in, in the first place.
