OK Long story short , in 1983 when I got my Florida CWP , they had these Badges with the five point stars and Florida seal, and I thought they where a cool thing to have , so I got one , and in 1990 the state of Florida outlawed them , for some creeps where pulling women over just to get their phone numbers and ask them for a date , and basically presenting themselves as LEO's , and I threw mine in a drawer and forgot about it till now. But all an all BAD Idea.

No Biggy man, the post was made in jest.....the voices in my head make me do it and not just here either :wall:

Correct Sir, it is Navy;) this is bold navy used only when I feel Bold:p

Yall do know he didnt really invent the internet right?.....he did however invent them stinkin badges though :wall:

Obviously related to AL, Way too much :wall: not to be.

Refreshing, finally someone speaks the truth, Myself, I am in the process of contacting the state to see if a forehead tatoo will suffice in case I lose my badge. There isnt nothing but blank space there anyways

I wonder what they will say? Probably just go drink more :wall:

I will now return to polishing my badge...:wall:

Oh believe me he hears dem voices ... pssst but mostly they be echoing :wall:

term was magazine and not clips?

I prefer the more technical sounding "clips" Magazines are for the baffroom.

I also prefer to call my badge a shield, sounds more Miami Vice.

They having a show in Ktown this weekend? Where at?

Chilhowee Park. Friday afternoon - Sunday.

Short notice to get a personalized badge, but I'm sure the regular ones will be available.

I really enjoyed the 15 minutes I spent reading this thread lol. we have a guy here in Cville that carries open and has one of those badges(under covor of coat) but visible in some moves .I thought at 1st LE so was at ease , I carry also but covored. As I got in the buffet line I was able to read HCP on it , I still felt at ease but did watch his actions a little. I personally will not spend my hard earned cash for 1 , but I can see both ends of it good and bad.Now if you had to have the HCP in order to buy 1 , would be better , but anyone can go in and buy 1 w/no proof ....not good.

You can buy and own a Police Badge without proof.

I figure with an HCP badge and an orange life vest I can ward off bullets like those guys in a certain war torn country in Africa.

Between those two items and my wolf knife I'll be unstoppable.

hcp badge, bug, and a little luck I should survive as well. BTW, is that a bullet proof life jacket? Is there a conversion kit for the standard issue type?

SUNTZU was about to buy a CCW badge today but it didn't say Jimmy Latimer on it. Oh, and we don't have CCW licenses!

No, just the standard orange vest is all you need. Life jackets SAVE lives.

That really sucked. I could here the Dog the Bounty Hunter theme music when I saw those...I know you heard it too.

I'm really thinking the theme from "Shaft" is more appropriate for sportin' the badge. "Who's the man...."
