H&K USP Stainless vs Sig P220 Elite

Im looking for a new handgun and I think I have it narrowed down between the H&K USP Stainless 45 and the Sig P220 Elite I have had several H&K's before USP Tactical 45,USP Compact 9mm,P2000 40s&w, and a Stainless USP Compact 45(Never shot it) and I liked them all but loved my Tactical however I have never owned one of the more expensive Sigs so Im curious how yall would compare the Elite to the H&K's better or worse?

Thanks for any tips or advice in advance

Sigs trigger is MUCH better. I believe the Elites have the SRT trigger which is even better

Sig 220 is less bulky than a HK

IF it were my money, I'd go with the Sig. Spend a bit of time handling both of them if you can and then make up your mind. If you've already had HKs...give the Sig a try, I bet you'll like it

I have USP45 Stainless with the match trigger and it shoots great more accurate and most Sigs. Sigs are decent guns but i'll take a bulky HK over a Sig any day. P220's are single stack so you are going to loose mag capacity, plus I am not a big fan of Squeshy Sig triggers. go with whichever fits you better.

If your going to be target shooting, the SIG 220 will do you right, BUT If you're going to carry, the H & K USP can be carried COCKED-N-LOCKED;) I've owned both, traded the H & K, still have the P 220 for target shooting

The Sig is DA/SA, so cocked and locked is a minor (if any) advantage. I can say from experience that the SRT is excellent.

On the plus side, if you ever find yourself in a place where the choice you must make is between Sig and HK, you've landed in a pretty awesome location.

My P220 is SA only. I only carry it Cocked n locked........but only on the very rare ocassion when I'm not carrying my USP .40 compact. :P

Joe at Hero had one of these for personal use that I handled. I have no experience shooting them but I was impressed with the trigger.

I have had both the Sig and the HK USP. I carried a 228 for many years. In either one you get an inherently accurate, dependable pistol. I find no discernible difference between the two in those categories. I'd say go with the one that fits you best.

Personally I found the bore sight radius too high for my liking on both of them. Sur eyou can become extremely proficient with either, but for me I do not have the time anymore to practice like I used to and am able to be proficient easier with a low bore sight radius, such as found on the Glocks, my HK P7 M8 or M13 or the 1911.

The downside for me on the Glock is that the bore sight radius is perfect but, the grip is too fat for my liking. I send mine to Robar to have the grips reduced. Yes I'm picky and pretty much find no perfect defense gun. I love all of mine for one thing and hate them for another. Oh well, that is my burden to bear. :D

If you want reliability and quality, go with HK. But I don’t have to tell you that, as I see you have already sampled the HK addiction…you are just in denial now.:D

and he wont get the same in the SIG? I say try them both, but the HK usp's grips are too bulky for me....I also shoot much better(which aint sayin much) with the Sig's.
