Reloading supplies getting any easier to find yet?

I've been wanting to get into reloading for years, and now that I finally have the room, I'm afraid it's still going to be a pain in the butt getting supplies.

So the question is, IS this a good time to get into reloading? I'm considering buying a "starter kit" sometime in the near future and trying to collect all the supplies.

If y'all weren't already reloading, would you start now?

I generally order bulk from Powder Valley, and I can now get the bullets and powder that I use, but primers are still somewhat touch and go. When you find them, they are quite a bit pricier than they were last year.

We're getting there, but we may still be a few months out.

While it's still a hit or miss on certain items, supplies have opened up somewhat compared to recent history.

So to answer your question, go for it and start collecting what you can.

www.wideners.com is in johnson city. Order online and pick-up.

www.midsouth.com is in clarksville. Order online with pick-up.

www.champchoice.com is in lavergne. Primers aren't listed online. But pick-up at 28.00 per 1000.

I have always heard that Natchez won't sell to TN residents. Have they changed their policy or have I listened to bad info?

Added: I just went to Natchez website and was going to order a free catalog and found this. I guess that the info I've been hearing was good.

Simply fill in the information below to receive a FREE 104 page Catalog in the mail. Loaded with good products at great prices. Please note, we do not accept orders from Tennessee, Georgia, or Alabama.

I appreciate the offer but if they don't need my money....kinda like the restaurants that banned handguns, there are others around that will take it.

ArKo:

( Why won't Natchez sell to TN residents? )

I tried to order a Night-Monicle from them,They refused my order.( Lynchburg Tn. address) I was told by a Natchez Rep that they had a No-Competition Agreemment with the states of Ga. Ala. and Tenn. I happend to mention that that was not free interprize and that they were losing money & Customers. I was told to Buy somewhere else.So I did!

But when a long train of abuses and usurpation's, (forcible seizure without right, of position, power), pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, (tyrannical power), it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security

It's their choice. they don't compete against their customers. It baffled me for years but when I thought about it, it makes sense. As a selling point to dealers in local states they have a non-compete agreement with them.

Besides.. they really want bulk orders and not the onseee twosee type customers.

Oh well.. look elsewhere or get a buddy from KY to order for ya like I do.

Well, natchez aside, it looks like I may as well start gathering gear and supplies. Guess I need to shoot some ammo up for the brass! :D

Haha! My thoughts are the same. :)

Even better, I don't have anything I can reload yet, except shotguns. So its time for a new .30-06 for my birthday. ;)

For what its worth, the Mid South website is actually Midsouth Shooters Supply, Reloading, Air Guns, Optics, Muzzleloaders & Shooting Supplies

Took me a minute to figure that one out. :D
