Sig 522 Performance with Subsonics and Suppressor

I just purchased a Sig 522, and was able to give it a good work out yesterday. I have been looking for a good over the shelf semi auto .22 LR suppressor host, and this seems to be the one. I tried a Kel Tec Su22, and it would not cycle with subsonic rounds, but the Sig does.

Yesterday, I fired a few hundred rounds or Remington Subsonic, PMC Moderator, and Wolf Match Target, and had exactly no failures. I am extremely happy with the performance of the 522, because It fed and shot all of the above ammo with ease. It is also surprisingly accurate.

I mounted a cheap Wal Mart $32.00 Tasco Red Dot sight on it, and after a quick sight in, it would easily tear one ragged hole at 25 yards. The trigger on the 522 is also surprisingly good - better than any of the factory AR triggers in my collection.

Two thumbs up for Sig's 522!

Very true about possibly not being the right place to discuss a non NFA firearm, but my sole intent was to relate its viability as a suppressor host.

Thanks for the link to your review! The search function on here will not allow terms such as "Sig 522", so if anyone else has written anything on them here, it would take a long "manual" search.
