Rifle ranges

I am looking for a good rifle range this weekend (26th & 27th). I just found out that Stones River will not be open for two more weeks...(is this how smokers feels when they need a cigarette?)... I am going through withdrawal. Can anyone recommend somewhere close in proximity to Antioch/Nashville that I can fire my rifle?

CHMR (used to be Owl Hollow)

That place looks awesome. I will be giving it a try. Membership seems to be a fair price too!

Is anyone from here going today or tomorrow so I can give it a test run?

If you can find someone who's already a member and willing to let you tag along, you can try it out for $5/day. But as you said, membership is fair. The owner, Charlie, has always been great.

Man, that looks like a real nice place. Too bad we can't get a place like that here near Memphis, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

It is nice, but only open on the weekends which i wish would change!!

It’s a bit of a drive for you, but Terry Walden’s range at Manchester has a 300 meter rifle range. It’s unsupervised and costs $5.

I'll be there tomorrow

They were closed :D

Ihear that they will be closed again this weekend :poop:

I may try to locate the Manchester range or dirve to Smith county where a buddy has a place to shoot.

I may try to locate the Manchester range

Take Exit 105 off I-24.

At the end of the ramp turn right onto 41.

Go about a half a mile to sixteenth Model Road, turn right.

The range is about 1.8 miles on your right. It sits back off the road, watch for the sign.

I’d meet you there if it wasn’t so cold. :D

TERRY WALDEN GUNSMITH,

PHONE: 931-728-0223

Thanks DaveTN do you know if they have a rifle range for 25-100 yards? I need to sight a rifle in.

Yes. The range is 328 yards long. You can set up targets wherever you like. It’s an unsupervised range, so you just need to get everyone to agree to a cease fire. :D

They are open every day from light until dark and noon to dark on Sunday. But sometimes it may be closed for certain occasions like a youth group or something. If you can't get a hold of him I can stop by and see if it will be open Sat, I am sure it will be. I am only 10 minutes from there.
