The girlfriend and I are going to Dixie Stampede tonight as a late anniversary dinner. I was wondering if any of you guys have been and carried while there. They do NOT serve alcohol (I don't know if that's a good thing :D), so as far as I know I should be OK to carry.

Anyone had experience carrying there or at Dollywood? Just wondering what security is like, etc.

Hey, this is why we have a fancy database!

Please, take a pic to add to the link above, I didn't get one.

You don't think me taking a picture of the "no guns allowed" sign would give me away :D (kidding..well kind of)

I will make a point of looking for the sign and snapping a pic if at all possible.

This was my feeling as well, but when I went to six flags back in IL I was patted down by a security gaurd. I know that the Dixie Stampede isn't a theme park, but you never know what you might run into.

I'll let you guys know how it goes. My girlfriends room mate's and their SO's just found out that I carry after knowing me for 6 months (and not being very careful about it in her apartment). I think I've made a believer of one of their boyfriends :D

It's the same when you go to a UT football game, I didn't even think about it and had my pocketknife on me and they totally missed it. Real reassuring :)

Last night went off without a hitch, I figured it would but it didn't hurt to ask for a second opinion. I didn't manage to get a picture of the sign, it's in a weird spot to take a picture without being noticed.

Wow, that's a little easier to spot than a pocketknife during a pat down...Impressive

I carried concealed at dixie stampede without a problem.

At dollywood, they do sometimes search you at the gate - but not too often.

They have signs at dollywood, but I don't know if they meet state requirements or not.

Can't remember if there was a sign at stampede or not....
