Is there anyone in Middle TN that owns a Desert Eagle .50 that would be willing to let me shoot it? I would buy all ammo, pay range fees, and even let you film me firing it just in case there is some comedy:D. I shoot .45's all the time:tough: but after seeing a few YouTube videos and finally holding that bad boy this weekend at G&L, I want to give it a try. Please. Anyone?;)

If you saw a YouTube video entitled "Casey vs. Desert Eagle", that's me. Not my gun, a friend of a friend brought one. It was.... interesting. Not sure if it's something I ever need to do again.

buk

P. S. If you're sensitive to foul language, skip the video.

I've owned a DE .50, just for the rights to say I've shot one of the most powerful semi-auto handguns made.

That being said, you could save some money and time and have a buddy swing a baseball bat at your head. Try to catch the bat mid-swing. It's just like the Desert Eagle - hurts your hands if you do it right, hits you in the face if you don't.

I had one for 5 days, I shot it one time and decided it was not my thing, they are incredible hand guns you must experience it to decide if it is something that you want

hahaha thats funny. I do think a Deagle in .357mag or .44mag would be pretty cool...I think 50ae is just to say you did it

I shot a .50 DE a few times, it's not that bad. I wouldn't mind having one to shoot once in a while, but the $ is a bit much.

Nothing practical about it, just a toy.

The 44 mag is a lot more fun, but the same thing with that one also.

Fun to shoot, but that's about it.

Or at least blacken one up pretty good..:D

I handled one a few weeks ago...all stainless....very impressive but I would be very timid in firing something I could barely pick up.:poop:

Good video Casey....at least ya didnt knock your noggin with it.

I had one for a few months before selling it at a gunshow. Major $$$ to feed it. Still, if you ever get the chance to try one out, there's just something primal about it. Pulling the trigger on that thing brings on insta-grin. Just make sure you get good and set in your stance and adopt a very strong push-pull grip on the beast!

A full-sized Desert Eagle with rimmed Magnum cartriges has no practical purpose. It's a novelty. The same goes in .50 AE. What's the point?

I have been to the mountain-top and pulled the trigger on a 500 S&W. :D

Nothing more needs to be said. I need one.

Here's a vid:D

See, this video is part of the reason I want to shoot one. I swear THAT won't happen!! I bet I cuss though! I want to shoot it just to say I did it but I don't want to own one. Ammo is nearly $50 a box and I saw a used one with the .50 and.44 barrels for $1300. No thanks, just want to play, not keep.
