So why is that? I'm begining to see 9mm now most everywhere I go, but why not .380? I doubt much of it goes to lawenforcement and certainly not military?

I bought my wife a Bersa Plus .380 in July (I know, I know, I should have just bought a 9mm for her, hindsight is 20/20) and she has only put 10 rounds through the blasted thing because we've only been able to get 1 box of ammo for it. I did find it at wal-mart one time, but they wanted way too much for the ammo.

I've found the 100 round value pack of WWB at Walmart for around $40 or so, which is about the norm these days I guess.

My folks down in Alabama always have some for me when we see each other, so it must not be so hard to get down there.

It will come around, I'm sure they produced the most popular rounds first and are now catching up on their .380.

I've had a .380 for about 25 years. I know it is basically a 9mm short, but I always thought of it more in the league of a 32acp, not due to ballistics but because of the lack of popularity. Often I could see that look on peoples face when you say "Its a .380" like they've never heard of such a thing or "didn't you mean to say 38?"

But I suspect tons of the things have sold during the past year and I admit, they are small and easy to conceal in a pocket or under the waist band.

I ordered some reloads from Oakland, TN. Don't remember the company name off the top of my head. Ordered 1000 rounds. Then I found some Prvi at a local gun store and bought a few boxes of that. I think the wife still has 800 rounds left. My suggestion is to find a good place that reloads and order in bulk.

I think a lot of the shortage of this round is the particularly increased popularity of the pistols that shoot it. With the P3AT and LCP the demand for the round has gone through the roof.

I think its because Obama's Civilian Security Force is going to only use .380 sidearms and SBR's so they are stocking up. The rest is being sent to Mexico by shady FFl holders in Los Ebanos, TX......seriously.

Looks to me like they are sold out.

Well it was there at 11:15. Like I said, you gotta be quick!

Keep checking ammotogo and Midway. They usually get it in with more frequency than others.

I'm still having trouble finding 9mm and .45 ACP. Walmart seems to have a steady supply of Federal .40 S&W though.
