"Snowball fight takes dangerous turn when police officer draws gun"

washingtonpost.com

This is what I hate about news. The headline is totally misleading. Makes you think some kids are having a snowball fight and some Fife type pulls his gun on them. Turns out global warming protesters are having a snowball fight and the cop is responding to a "armed man" call who turns out to be an undercover detective.

Why couldn't they have centered on the irony of Global warming protesters involved in a snowball fight?:D

Never bring a gun to a snowball fight. :D I love how the spokes-cop says that a snowball fight isn't a type of situation to pull a sidearm out and I agree but who hasn't been hit in the head with a snowball with a nice rock center. When we had snow in Davidson County, once upon a time, we did that a lot and I can still hear my mom saying "You better knock that ***** off before someone gets hurt". Usually that someone was me. With anti-war fruits around, one would think there had to be a more justifiable reason for the unholstering of his weapon. The Washington Post makes a point in stating that "gas guzzling Hummers became a particular target which is what the detective was driving.

On the global warming irony; I wonder how DC is liking it's heat wave right now?
