About the only problem I've had was with Remington green/white box ammo. Some of it appears to not be hot enough.

I am an anal retentive old Marine Armorer (additional duty) and I QA (Quality Assurance) my ammo. I weigh it, measure it and check for primer seating on every round before I fire it or carry it. I then run a computer program (Excel) on it and reject anything for rapid fire that is over 2 Standard Deviations (SD) away from the mean in that lot. I find myself rejecting a very high amount of MagTech and Remington ammo. Their QA sucks! MagTech in particular has wild deviation within any specific lot of their ammo.

I find Hornady, Federal and Winchester (White Box, believe it or not!) to be very consistent, with few rounds rejected. There are probably some others that are good, but I find everything I need within those three, so I haven't tested other brands.

As I fire and carry mostly S&W revolvers (one lone Glock 23 the exception) I can't say whether this helps function as the Glock functions 100% firing everything, cheap or not, American made or not.

I can say it sure as heck helps accuracy, in revolvers and the Glock.

I find Magtech very dirty. It makes a mess out of my Redhawk, when firing a 100 rounds or so. The gun absolutely needs a thorough cleaning following a shooting session with magtech. My son does not have nearly the problems I do with gunk in this Taurus Raging Bull, at least for us it appears to be a combination of ammo and the gun.
