Meeting Room in Knoxville?

Hi guys, I am in the works of planning a "Meet & Greet" type meeting for a local musky club(fishing club) that I have recently been nominated the president of. Anyways, I am looking for a room of descent size(capable of holding 40-50 people at least) for us to have our meeting at. We typically have our meetings at Gander Mtn near Turkey Creek, however that room isn't very large, and I don't know how they would feel about having food in there either. That is another thing, we plan on ordering pizza's for everyone too...so that they allow food is a must. Also, I would like it to be fairly close to the interstate...somewhere near west town would probably be best.

Anyways, I am not directly from Knoxville, so I was hoping maybe a few of you guys might be able to throw a few suggestions my way that might meet our requirments. Thanks guys, I would appreciate any help.

Shoney's at Walker Springs has a back room that they have meetings in like that. Might be a bit tight for 50 people. Doubt you could order pizza, either. Have you looked into any of the hotels that have conference rooms around Cedar Bluff or Merchants?

Yeah, I am thinking about maybe looking into the Hotels. We would prefer a dedicated room like that, rather than a restaruant. Figure it will be cheaper for the club, and easier to just do our own thing.

Thanks tho!

This place provides a facility...

Rothchild Catering & Conference Center, Knoxville, TN

Don't have any idea on the costs or any other details but it's West Knox very close to the Cedar Bluff exit. May be a little too exquisite for a bunch of guys talking about fishing based on the pics, but it's an option. BTW, I've never been there but dated a girl in my former life who worked there.

Thanks guys, However those are catered rooms, and alot bigger than we need. We are a non-profit club, so price is an issue. Which is why we're just thinking if we could find a place that isn't associated with a restaurant or catering service, that just books the room, where we could just order pizzas for everyone, and bring our own drinks.

Anyways, Thanks for the suggestions so far!

I have been to many-a-funtion at this place and this is the best idea for the event IMHO. I think you can rent it without their catering. I don't know about everyone else, but I would be willing to throw in to help fund this event.

Shriners is where I would suggest especially if some one is a member.

If I'm missing the sense of this request, it is for free. If you use a restaurant like Shoneys, they provide the room and you buy food.

Rick's Place near Westtown mall. It is a bar, but they seem pretty reasonable. If you stop in and talk to them, you could probably work something out.

You could just take over the food court at the mall.

Has anyone done any kind of party or meeting of some sort at a Mr. Gattis? It was brought to my attention that they have seperated rooms, however on their site....they offer "package deals" only if you get the buffet. I am just wondering if they will just cut deals on individual pizzas? Like I said, We are a non-profit club, so cost is the main issue....and paying 6-7 bucks(per person) for buffet just isn't gonna be cheap by no means. Where-as if we could get a deal on 5-6 bucks for large individual pizza's....it would be alot more cost effiecient. Anyways, Just curious if anyone had ever held a party or anything like that at Mr. Gattis?

I also have a email sent in to the Holiday Inn there at Cedar Bluff, so hoping to maybe hear something from them.

Thanks guys.
