Pictures of my new MSAR....and an easy to see reason why bullpups have some serious advantages....keep in mind the ak in the picture is a sidefolder with a 16" barrel while the MSAR has a 20" barrel :D

That's a pretty sweet rifle. I might have to keep that in mind when deciding what to buy this coming year. And while not black, it is sufficiently evil looking that I'm sure it's a lot of fun.

How does it shoot?

Dont know yet, I got the tan because they didnt have the black available with a 20" barrel (and extra barrels are $500!). I havent got to shoot it yet, but its definitely a well built firearm...the barrel is vented/fluted, 4150 chrome lined, and has a 1/8 twist so it should be fairly accurate with good ammo. Surprisingly the trigger isnt too bad. I hope I like it since im selling my AK.

Nice score, Magic!

Be sure to give us a full range report, I've often milled over the SBR vs. Bullpup thing in my head.

I saw that CDNN was selling those for $999... can't wait for your range report. I've always liked the concept of the bullpup design.

Your cat's got camo!

You are right, I didn't even see him!

Sweet score, Magic! If I weren't in the process of building 2 SBR's right now, I'd be all over one of these babies. The recent price drop is nuts!

IF I get another .223, it's gonna be a bullpup for sure. I'm really leaning towards the Steyr, but if STGs keep getting blown out at $999, that's a hard deal to beat.

Yeah for the money I dont think you could do better...and its piston driven. The gun is extremely easy to break down and clean. Buds has the optic model for $1100 which is a pretty damn good deal, but I prefer the rail. Lol my cat does have a natural camo coat...check out the last picture on my 28-2 for sale ad....he blends right in. :D

how's the height/cheek weld with the acog? i'm going to run the same setup w/ my TA50R and ADM mount. i'm debating on getting the lower E4 rail mount so I can run AR height buis.

if you are intrested Titan Defense has Troy short flip up sights for $224. (.27" shorter than AR height sights)

Looks great :death: I like the black a lot...when I ordered they only had the 20" barrel with the tan...but its not too bad either. I really like the ACOG's height on the stock rail...I think its about perfect for me. Since im using an ACOG im starting to think I really dont need Emergency sights since it has no batteries...i mean hell I would probably be a goner before the ACOG would be damaged to the point of not working

Did you buy locally or through Bud's? Who has the best prices locally? I'm really wanting one of these now and I like ordering from Bud's, but I'd like to fondle one first (in a purely plutonic way, of course).

Posted

Kong I ordered mine through CDNN and transferred through Gunnys in Maryville ($37 total)...however you could probably check through Tri-Cities as they have some personally and would probably be happy to get you one.

Thanks Magic, I ordered the non-optics version in OD Green (20" barrel) from Bud's and am transferring through Ensley's. $982 with free shipping was hard to beat. I'll hopefully be able to put up some gun porn by the end of the week...

Kong thats a great deal and the 20" barrel is definitely the way to go. Smith yeah theres enough room on the rail for a BUIS if you get the non optics...if not the optics version has a BUIS built in on top.

I can't take a picture of a gun without my cat wondering into it. Must be a power thing with them :)
