Run a few rounds of winchester or federal ammo through it, the good stuff? See if it does the same thing. It could be improperly annealed brass.

Even the Speer Lawman I fired did this... it's consistently expanding the brass enough to prevent it from starting to chamber in the XD. It is more noticable on the reloads, even though they are lower power (faster powder?). I'll mic he cases next chance I get...

I am now the proud owner of an XD-9 Tactical with OD frame... I can already tell that it is a better match for me.

Now to decide whether to send it to Springfield for a custom shop job... or fit a barrel, sights, magwell, and match trigger bar & sear myself over time (and save $500).

Is this going to be your main carry weapon, something for the range or

maybe IDPA?

The XD-357 Service will remain my primary carry... the XD-9 Tactical will be my 'gaming' gun. I won't be doing anything to the XD-357 aside from the Wolff springs and guide rod I've already installed.

I'm a big fan of doing your own work. That way if it breaks, you can fix it yourself, normally. Plus you get to evaluate each piece of work to decide if it actually improves anything.

Too bad that S&W didn't work out. They just haven't quite "got it down yet", or so it would appear.
