I know I cant carry my firearm...so what the hell can I use to defend myself legally without worrying about going to jail if im caught with it? Pepper Spray, Taser?.....any help/info greatly appreciated...hate that our damn capital is so bass-akwards.

Hope for your sake it's just a short visit and not a perm move. If the latter, you may want to consider northern Virginia instead.

Doesn't anyone know how to fight with their bare fists anymore?? I have defended myself my whole life that way, I only started carrying a firearm when I got married and had children,

that would work if everyone was like that. unfortunately, most attackers have some kind of weapon whether it be a club, knife or a gun, they usually have something.

you have a good point, but we should never forget to fight without a weapon when it is applicable. I always have a Surefire pen and a E2D Defender light for those situations where my fists will not get the job done

I like a good pen like cross or the like that is all metal. Wilderness 1 3/4 belt with the big metal buckle, steel toed boots, surefire light (9P is my fav). Never thought about the walking stick or cane that would work well also. Check on warrior talk for carrying in (NPE). Lots of discussion about imporvised "weapons".

Problem solved!

If someone mucks with you, just make that face and say "I make poopy" in an Officer Dewey voice

You mean you scare the *stuff* outta yourself?

I only make that face when I'm constipated. Then I tell myself, "Ever notice how you come across somebody once in awhile...you shouldn't have ****ed with?" And its like an instant laxative.
