Pocket Plinkers

I picked up a couple of pocket plinkers at ValuPawn in Chattanooga this week, a JA25 and a JA22. $109.99 each. The 25 is a good shooter! I haven't had a chance yet to fire the 22. Here's a couple of pix....first the .22....then the .25...

Hopefully their quality has improved. Jennings was pretty legendary for making crappy guns.

Nope, for sideways shooting yo needs a GLOCK Fo-Tay! Nickel plated and bling, bling. Those guys with all the drug money don't buy little cheapo $100 guns!

My favorite of the "pocket plinkers", the S&W 2214. Accurate, reliable (with CCI minimag ammo) and easy to clean. This one has been my fishing vest gun for almost two decades now.

:D 100 bucks... I like them. Do they have a good selection of guns at that pawn shop? I have never been there.

I have an RG25, but that thing stove-pipes every shot. I have to clear it every time I pull the trigger. I would like to improve it's reliability. I never intend to use it as a carry weapon or anything like that, but it would be nice to get it to function properly. I have only tried Remington ammo bought from Walmart.

Bad spring? Hotter ammo? I have cleaned it as much as I can, and it extracts just fine when I work the slide by hand.

When it shoots it's pretty accurate, but it's the only gun I have that I do not trust.

If you live around Chattanooga, you really should check out Valu Pawn on Hwy 153, near North Park Memorial Hospital and across the highway from IHOP. They have a lot of pawned guns of all sorts, and a good selection of Jimenez and Hi-Points. They also have rifles and shotguns (pawned, nothing new).
