I need a gunsmith for some work in Nashville. I've got two revolvers that need fixing, and an canted front sight assembly on a Saiga that needs straightening. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Sam in Gallatin has more gun-smithing knowledge in his pinky than most you'll find... He builds Uselton's 1911's, and believe he maintains many weapons for the TN state troopers, nice guy too. He's good so he's always busy though...

Reach him here:

+1 for Sam. He has done trigger work on a couple of my Springfield 1911's and a Weatherby rifle.....He does excellent work and fairly quick turnaround.

I've had Jeff work on two of my Colt's, including my Python. He's very good.

Sam's my gunsmith as well and the best there is around here. If you dont wanna make the trip to Gallatin you can bring it by here. He's in here a few times a week. Right now his turn around is about 2-3 weeks considering the holidays and him traveling back and forth to New York.

In case some of you didnt know Sam for the past few months has been busy building, actually hand fitting all of *******(insert big name company)'s new line of 1911's that will be introduced at the shotshow.

Since you brought it up, you insert the "big name company."

Or is this another post with a bit of secret info that you can elude to, but can't talk about?

Anyway, Sam does do good work at a fair price. He worked on a HiPower of mine and I was more than pleased.

I've had good luck with Sam in Gallatin. He's in the building with Asherbranner's Pawn Shop. Don't look around there long, or they'll sell you some more guns!:koolaid:

John Wall at East Side hooked me up with some good work, for CHEAP!

Jeff at Guns and leather gets my vote. I went to him when he was at Specialty Arms.

Stay away from Franklin Gun Shop. They are very expensive.

Remington'd new 1911's, their 1st ones will be the best and tightest Mil Specs you can find. Sams been involved hands on with every step in makeing this gun, it should be really special.

Recommend using Tim Calhoun from Calhoun Customs or Jeff Walle from Guns n Leather.  Either one of them should be able to fix anything you have wrong.
