Awesome, nice choice! I'm having a CBOB built that will look similar to that. Just love the looks of Commander Bobtails...

Awesome (and beautiful) pistol. I love my Dan Wesson - it's one of my favorites. Any pics of yours and your dad's together?

Is it .45 or 10mm?

Looks like the magazines say .45 on them in the pics.

If you haven't shot it yet, you're in for a treat! If I remember right, I think I put around 200 rounds through mine the first time out. It's hard to stop. Congratulations!

Hey Coop! Well, it's been shot and cleaned, and I'm going to have some work done on it (just cosmetic, to clean it up). It's truly a wonderful firearm, and the quality shows.

That is a fine looking well made handgun. I was drooling all over the keyboard. I wish I had the money to afford something like that.

Thanks bro.I really like it too.Everyone at the store was a SA 1911 person for that price range.Although they said that DW is the trump of them all

She's a real peach! Here's a good 1911 site, with a really good DW subforum. If this is your first DW, I'd read some of the suggested break-in routines posted here. DW's are real tight...but you want that. They just need some special care in the first 500-800 rds.

Have fun!

DW is coming out with several new models in 2010, based mainly off their Valor (flagship model). I can't wait to see them.

Unfortunately your not gonna like the new price!! Les Baer range! Too much for this poor boy.

"Unfortunately your not gonna like the new price!!" -- Lumber Jack

It appears that CZ/Dan Wesson has recognized the inherent quality of their pistols "out-of-the-box" and will price them accordingly this new year. Further, they intend to drop some pistols from their catalog that are exceptionally popular and, of course, are in huge demand. Go figure...
