Well, here are a couple teasers. The truck as delivered, and a shot of the windshield with one of the frames having the new weatherstrip, one still has the old. You can tell the difference by the hole you could poke a finger through at the corner...

Peppered Beer? Do they make such a thing?

The old timers at Curnayn's Tavern out on the west side of Cincinnati used to put pepper in their glass before pouring beer in it. It keeps a head going, and you don't taste it like you do with salt

I don't like head. Wait! Yes, I do!

Just tore down (Duke) my lever action 30-30. Needed a good cleaning now that deer season is over. This is the first time that I have broke it down. Never had any idea it had so many internal parts.

Chris, yes and no...

It's mine, but it isn't in Kingsport at the moment. The body is in Bonneau, SC, the block is in Charleston, the exhaust, carb and fuel pump in Moncks Corner and there are quite a few parts in transit from various places.

Current schedule is to have it back on the road by the end of February, though, and some time afterwards (likely when I transfer from my current ship) I'll drive it home.

By that time I should be able to meet up with you in it, if you want to check it out.

I'm afraid of what I'll find after the body is sandblasted, but if no real bodywork is required (gee, who'd paint rust?) then things should pretty much run to schedule.

Would have been a little sooner, but Sue (my wonderful and very-understanding-of my-expensive-hobbys wife) needed a root canal last week.

Well, wait 'till you go to put it back together. You'll have a whole new appreciation for the phrase "what was I thinking?".

Your paint job appears to be what is called "Orange Peel"....this specialty work can only be accomplished by someone who has no training or experience in auto painting. But since he "restored" it so well maybe it came that way.:tough:

Mighty fine looking ride at any rate:D

Trying to come off my aggravation of copying an URL from Photobucket and it not pasting onto my "scatter" thread, having Alpha7 save me and all the miscommunication ensue as I try to fix it.

Watching "Hard Times" with Bronson and Coburn, hoping to chill the hell out. Like FAST!

Watching the IDIOT across the street paint his nice white 300Z with black spray paint and he's even painting the marker lights as well.

I'm debating with myself on if a Bacon Cheeseburger can be considered desert. Just finished my lean Cuisine pizza and would really like a Wendy's bacon cheeseburger for desert....nom nom nom nom...:);)

The deed is already done. :) I called my wife to tell her about it and his nasty buttcrack that was presented to me. She said I should have taken a photo and brought it to the next neighborhood meeting to add it to our list of code violations.

Shelby County Code Violations

Number 11: No buttcracks allowed!

He came back with more paint! No buttcrack though. Hallelujah!

I'm fighting Photobucket again, so bear with me.
