I'm sorry. I intended on letting this thread die, but I'm watching "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and it's my all time favorite. Deal with it!

Absolutely desecrating a shredded BBQ chicken sandwich and delighting at the visage: All the houses in sight with their chimneys and heating ventstacks smoking. Beautiful!

Making a week's worth of hearty beef stew. That meat was extra bloody this time.

Watching the jackass that moved in across the street two weeks ago do donuts in our cove in his mustang. Glad I remembered to move my wife's car off the road today.

On after-hours support rotation, working my ass off. The weather has people whom have never worked from home, working from home.

Just put in Charlton Heston's Will Penny which the cover says is "Arguably his greatest performance (Ben Hur included!). Well, we'll see about that.

I did donuts tonight! I'm 37.

38 here, and I did donuts with my wife and two kids in the vehicle with me...in the Post Office parking lot!

She's yelling "so stupid, stop it!"

Kids yelling "go daddy! keep doing it!"

Engine revving 4,000 rpm, and I'm laughing like a hyena!

You're only as old as you let people convince you that you are!

just tried to start one of the quads, got it on a battery charger now. I am going to do some donuts before the night is over.

My best friend in L.A. does what you do remotely, too. It's like Jimmy Fallon's character on SNL.

searching the internets for parts suppliers for the "restored" 1954 M37 truck I bought a month ago.

Which by the way, if a guy named Greg Solberg from MN ever offers to sell you a horse, better check theres a leg on all four corners.

So far, this "restored" truck has required a new military distributor (to replace the incorrect civilian distributor that sorta-kinda worked, if running on 3-4 cylinders is your thing), a total engine rebuild, canvas top repair, some electrical rework/repair, new running board to replace the crumpled, torn up, then hammered-flat drivers' side, new radiator, new weatherstripping to replace the original rubber, which rotted when he spray-painted it.

Still on the list: New tires to replace the undersized, incorrect tires, parking brake, troop seats and cargo cover, eventually a paint job to correct the 'nice-looking from 25 feet' rattlecan crapjob, weld up the accessory holes from the bubba'd horn button, other mysterious dash holes, and holes in the body for the civilian stereo antenna, and it seems every time I start a job I might as well make a new parts list for the stuff I see while working.

I feel like I'm working on Johnny Cash's cadillac, but it sure as apples is costing me a dime or two...

On the gripping hand, though, Ima gonna have a nice ride when I'm done.

So, anybody have a source for military marker light lenses with a yellow main lense?

That's a lousy way to treat us, Mark. No pictures and all. Gee, that's real swell.

I ain't postin' pichers right now - the front clip is half apart, engine, transmission, radiator, etc. are out of the truck (the block is at the machine shop, actually) the top is at a seamstress' shop, the floors are out, etc. etc.

When I get 'er back together, though, I will certainly post a few. Figure end of February unless some other catastrophic condition comes up.

Here's a funny for you; Remember the brouhaha I got from the base police over having a machete in the back of the truck? This'n has a pioneer kit on the tailgate (axe, pick and shovel). As I intend to bring it on base a few times after it is back on the road, I plan on replacing the pioneer kit tools with cardboard replicas, and maybe a WMD warning, just for the keystone kommandos on the gate. Hope they get a kick out of it.

Definately need that report on those Barneys.

I took pics before I tore into my last home rehab just to show everyone how bad it was before I started. Jaws dropped. Every one of them. Consider it contrast. We'll be patient with you, though.
