I've checked around the online swap, sales and wanted ads on a few sites, and a few pawn shops. I've been wanting a .22 revolver for awhile. Not a 6 shot, single action.

So last week while checking out some stores, I came across a High Standard camp gun in a store. .22, 6 1/2" barrel, 9 shot. Price on the tag was 199.99, but marked through with 169.99 written over it. I carried Flutterby to the store saturday. We walked out the store with the gun for 160. cash.

Hi Standard Sentinel or variation thereof. I still have the one I bought in 1956 or 1957. Walked into the local hardware store, the kind with all the guns and ammunition displayed on wooden shelves on the walls behind the wooden counter, all sitting on wooden floors. (Some of you old guys may remember) Just laid down my cash and walked out with the gun. No permit, no background check. Just a little more than a "snot nosed kid" buying his first hand gun. I have put many a round through the gun, camped with it rain, snow, hot, cold. Still tight and shoots good although not as pretty as it was in 1957. Enjoy it, I certainly have enjoyed mine.
