I know of care packages and letters, but is there anything else? The offroad club I am in host an event and we have a raffle at the event to raise money for charities. Last year was breast cancer, but I want us to give the money for our troops on the next one. It shouldn't be a problem to get the club to do it.

Contact your local VFW or call Ft Campbell.

Letting the troops know they are appreciated is in itself a GREAT help. Food, messages, movies, etc. are quite nice as well. But the message that comes with such support is tremendously important and great boost.

Instead of asking us on what to do, ask the people who are talking to our servicemen and who frequently provide help. They always have projects and ideas for showing appreciation.

Check into pre-paid calling cards or other methods to help out with the outrageous cost of calling home from Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan.
