limited to 24hrs of use a year?

I think that they are going to be open 24 hours a day...premium memberships will allow unrestricted used during this time.

oh that is fantastic. def worth the extra 100 bucks for that ease.

I have a question and dunno if this has been asked, but would we be allowed to shoot 22 rifles there?

Really? I was told there that the premium only allowed access for a couple of hours after the store was closed. The store hours were 10-6 but the premium members could shoot until 8.

The way I understand it to. They are really nice in there. I look forward to giving them some money.

Premium membership gives you 2 hours of later range time and includes all members of the same household 18yrs or older. 10% discount on ammo and accessories, 20% on classes, 50% discounted fee for guests at the range and free firearm transfers.

Stopped by the store today and was impressed. Friendly folks and a decent inventory with more on the way.

Great people, I had them order me a LCR w/CTG for the wife for mothers day. She is excited. I walked through some other gun shops and couldn't believe prices on some of there competitors guns. The closest Pawn Shop was 15% higher on everything than Shooters Depot was.

I have bought from the Pawn on 153 and there ok. That isn't the one I was price comparing to though. Shooters Depot seams like they are out to be that gun shop/range that people are looking for. Clean, friendly, priced accordingly, and informative. It seams like they know what there competitors are up to and how to be competitve.

I went by SD today (since I was put on call from work). I asked about the range - it is slated to open June 1st. - the electrician was supposed to come by today and wire up their ventilation system. They were very friendly and not at all pushy - also not condescending like I feel too many other places are. I went ahead - took the plunge and joined their range with the premiere membership - my wife was on board when I told her it included her for free. I sincerely hope that these guys can keep this place going.

A few things I noticed. Not the best prices on accessories... Also, I am pretty sure they are the ones that bought out Ammo Dump (i saw a comment earlier in this thread) While I was there, they got a delivery from UPS and it was addressed to Ammo Dump Inc

The range is (according to the woman that gave me the tour) approved by their insurance for all handgun calibers and for 22LR.

I went by there the other day (Tues, June 8th 2010). The range is still under construction, they were held up by city permits. The gentleman that gave me a tour said the city didn't even know how to inspect a range, since the only other range in Chattanooga city limits was grandfathered in.

Anyway, looks like it will be a nice, albeit small (6 lanes) range. The store is fairly sparse right now, maybe they will carry more accessories as they do business and become profitable.

For reference, here is their actual website:

I stopped by there last week and registered for a premium membership. Range is 50 ft. long, I think. Access cards are ready, and hopefully range will be open pretty soon. Can't wait!

To avoid confusion, the only Shooters Depot I know of resides in Corpus Christi TX. They are world renowned for "The A.R.I.E.S. System"

“Shooters Depot†is a Division of 9999 Holdings Inc., formed in 1999 in Texas, USA. The original “Shooters Depot†was created in Toronto, Canada in 1988 by its current CEO, George Koumbis OSJ, an “out of the box†thinker, Award winning designer and Olympic shooter, with the mission to improve the design and function of weapon systems and accessories associated with the Industry. Our Website is Welcome to Shooters Depot - NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ("Class 3" weapons) LEGALITIES

The above referenced link refers to the ORIGINAL Company that has been building a name in TEXAS for almost TWELVE YEARS. The fact the "The Shooters Depot" leans on "Shooters Depot" via "the internet" is misleading and misrepresenting. Something should be said to differentiate the two businesses apart, hence my post.

as companies in other states. Google "Charlies Auto Repair" and you will find a number of them in different states. I doubt if anyone thinks that because they are on the same internet page they are infering they are related or riding on the reputation of another business of the same name. Even if it's a chain the individual unit will run on it's own reputation, not that of a unit 800 miles away.
