So... what's everyone doing for Halloween tonight?

I've got a couple bowls of treats for the neighborhood kids. Once that runs out, I'll be battening the hatches and calling it a night. Of course, Ghost Hunters comes on at 8pm and it's another live episode at the sanitarium so that's going to be fun to watch.

Hopefully there won't be any vandalism in the neighborhood tonight. There hasn't been in years past but we've got a new development that opened up a little ways down the road and the houses down there are small, cheaply built and seem to be attracting a lot of folks from rougher parts of town. Unfortunately some of them seem to have brought some bad habits with them from those parts of town. :-\

Makes me wonder if I shouldn't pull the truck around back behind the house so that kids won't be tempted to take aim at such a big ass target with eggs.

Dude! I completely forgot about the Ghost Hunters special tonight! Haha. I was bummed because I had to work last year on Halloween night and didn't catch it. Thanks for reminding me.

Sitting at home, catching up on rest... while the wife and one of her girl friends take the kids out Trick-Or-Treating. Halloween falling on the middle of a week-long base exercise, FTL! :-\

halloween is a bust around here. We do not bother with buying candy. There is no way any parent in their right mind would send a kid back our driveway to trick or treat. I will say it is the only thing I do not like about where we live.

I also dig on Ghost Hunters. I watch it most every Wednesday night. Can't wait til the live episode comes on at 9:00. It isn't often that something really happens so I hope they get lucky tonight.

  • Tri-folding brochures for a business expo tomorrow
  • Finishing a photo display for the same reason
  • Turning in by 0100 so I can be at the booth by 0700

Nighty-night:snore:

Ghost Hunters is on until 2am CST... I'm going to be dead tired tomorrow at work!

I tried to stay up but that bumbling fool of a wrestler they had on there was annoying the crap out of me. I don't see why they would damage their credibility even further by having him there when their credibility has already been questioned enough.

Like Mike.357, we live back off the road. We had our standard zero number of trick or treaters.

So I turned on one of those blower inflatable ghost and pumpkins in the yard and watched Wired Science, Criminal Minds and CSI.

Did have to bring in the bird feeder. The raccoon has learned a new way to get to the feeder by hanging upside down from the feeder support.

A raccoon has learned to come into our house through our cat door and eat the cat food we have in a bowl on the kitchen floor. Luckily it only does this at night so we've gotten into the habit of blocking the door when its dark.

So did the ghosthunters actually come up with anything besides the ball rolling around?

I agree with the comments about the ECW wrestler. The guy has no credentials to be on a ghost hunting show. Sorry but being an ex LEO ( if that is even true) is not a reason. The real reason is Sci-Fi televises ECW and they are trying to pump up those ratings by maybe drawing some viewers.

what is ECW doing on SciFi anyway ? What a crock. take good entertainment and ruin it. Now maybe if Sabu was on Ghost Hunters it might have been better.

Last year they had a different ECW guy, he wasn't as bad, he could at least form coherent sentences, haha. I'm assuming it wasn't TAPS' decision to go with the guy. The costs of doing a 6 hour live event like that must be huge so I guess SciFi or whoever decided to throw in a celebrity to draw in more viewers.

I don't know if they caught anything else, I kinda dozed off during one of the Jason/Grant/ECW Clown segments.

I made it through the first hour and then said the heck with it. Too much BS. Usually the show moves fairly fast. Not the live special.

I think they said that in the next two weeks they will show more from it. I assume it will be faster paced. I saw the recap a few weeks ago from last years show at that sanitorium and it was one of their better shows.

I used to hate Halloween, because I had to sit up all night and guard the house. My dad is the Principal of a middle school in Columbia and the kids never dissapointed me by not showing up every halloween. Its really funny to watch a bunch of middle school kids run from the cold water of the garden hose. A few years ago he moved to Nashville so he doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

We had a total of one trick-or-treater. So, I ate all the candy. I went into a sugar-induced coma around 9. A giant popcorn bowl of pixie stix. Before doing that, I was contemplating donning full gear (BDUs, Boots, Balaclava, Boonie, and chest rig) and using really long words to get candy (Ma'am, hand over the package or I'll have ot call in a strategic toilet paper drop)

That is the only thing I miss about subdivisions. I could have sat at the end of the driveway for three hours and probably not seen on trick or treater
