First Timer

Hey Guys, New to the site. I live in Tazewell, which is about an hour north of Knoxville. New to guns as well, looking into purchasing my first handgun within the next month or two. It will be a home protection, as well as a possible ccw. I have my eye set on a Taurus PT111(3rd Gen), unless I find a good deal(wanting to stay under $400) on something used along the lines of a XD9sc, Glock 26, etc.

I am also hoping to find somewhere that I can test fire one of these Taurus PT111, to get the feel for one. I have been to Coal Creek Armory in knoxville, but the only Taurus they had was the 709, which I have considered, but all things considered, I believe I would prefer the PT111. If anyone happens to know where I might find one of these that I could try out, If they could let me know, That would be great. Thanks!

Gunny's in Maryville rents handguns for use on their range. I doubt if they have the exact model you're looking for, but you might call and see.
