Hello,

My name's Mike. I got the nickname Dr. Boom Boom years ago because I play the bass. I'm fond of .38 special revolvers and .45 semis, though I've never seen a gun I didn't like. My wife and I shoot often, we have a dozen handguns between us. My wife likes to shoot softer target rounds so I've started reloading .45s and .38s. Two buddies of mine are Steelharp and the Rabbi, but please don't hold that against me. I'm a moderator over at Pro Gun Forum.

Nice to meet you fine folks.

Mike

Thanks Molonlabetn, I'll be careful, but they are bad influences.

Tungsten, he's about as soft as a porcupine.

Eddie, I've only loaded with Winchester 231 and Clays. For soft target work, I prefer the Clays, and it's cleaner.

MIKEY! I just now saw this thread. Welcome! This is a really great bunch of guys. I can't believe you have that many guns... and to think, I started it with that little Buckmark. "I Feel Good... (na-na-na-na-na-na-na)..." :P

Mikey D, many, many thanks. I shot a bit as a young man, my uncle had an M&P .38. and my mother was a good shot (taught by her uncle who was a county sheriff). I had a few rifles, an old single shot .22, a Winchester .22 and a Marlin .444, and an old Model 10 revolver that I sold off over the years. Then, I mentioned to my wife that one day I was going to get a pistol for some plinking. That's when she bought the Buckmark from you as a surprise present for me. Then I bought that CZ from you. Soon, I got my HCP, she started shooting, and the dam burst. Dam! Thanks.

jcoyle, thanks, I love Franklin, pretty town.

canynracer. Would those be the shaky lakes near Memphis? Beautiful area.

GlocKingTn, underneath that gruff exterior, the acid tongue and sharp, adversarial wit, lies a heart....somewhere, I guess.

DonRickles, Thanks for the welcome. Love the screen name.

Nice place, all.

Rabbi,

I've bought so many things from you, that's thanks enough in itself ;)

Canynracer, I've got a friend who calls Reelfoot Lake "Shakey Lake" because it was formed by an earthquake. Garner Lake looks absolutely gorgeous.

clutepc,

Thanks much.
