1. The Court declares the entire statute, T.C.A. 39-17-1305, unconstitutional and unenforceable. This would completely eliminate the Class A misdemeanor of carrying a firearm where alcohol is served, so permit holders could carry in any restaurant, tavern, bar, resort district, etc., that served alcohol. This would be a good thing for those who want permit holders to be able to carry in more places, and would be the complete opposite of what the Plaintiff's want.

I'm fairly certain monkeys will fly out of my butt before Bonneyman writes that as her decision in this case.

Sound like your rep is preparing you for no action in the legislature. He wants the court case to decide, so he doesn't have to stand for anyting. He knows any appeals will take a long time and get him out of an election year.

He's my state rep also and what you said couldn't be anything further than the truth. Stacy Campfield was the ONLY state rep/senator who actually came down and tried to help us fight the City of Knoxville when it came to allowing/banning carry in city parks. So you wrong. In fact, he's pretty vocal about issues and has been very pro carry every time I've heard him speak.

I agree about Campfield, but that letter was from Vance Dennis. Not sure why they had Campfield's picture with Dennis' words.

there will be action in the legislature about this, book it.

The resturant lobby is strong, but the gun lobby is much stronger. I think they screwed the pooch when they filed suit, in the end there may not be any restrictions

I would very much like to take that as gospel. Can you back that up?

Tennessee Registry of Election Finance - PACs Contributions

In 2007 the Tennessee Hotel and Lodging PAC donated $40,250.00 to Senators and Congresspersons in an off election year, the NRA contributed $2,750.00.

Last Election year there are records for, 2006:

Lawyers Involved for TN. $285,500.00

NRA $ 7,000.00

Tennessee Hotel and Lodging $ 31,350.00

Fed EX $138,350.00

Gun Lobby is a relatively small player.

i can that there will be action.

Well, if the WSMV clip is any indication, it will be stupid action. What sense does it make you can carry in Carrabbas or Olive Garden, but not Pizza Perfect? That you can carry in Cinco de Mayo, but not Baja Fresh?

It doesn't seem like there was much thought put into this stupid proposal.

the unfortunate thing is that money talks, and BS walks. Being "of the people" equates to BS in the realm of politics.

OK so if each permit holder sent in $10.00 to say for instant TGO . then TGO would have the power , Number of HCP 47,853 in Tennessee
