P30-ish? Hell, that IS a P30...with a less-ergonomic grip! Of course, my Walther PPS is nothing more than a Glock 27 on SlimFast, so who am I to talk? At least the new P99 can't possibly cost more than the original design from which it was "borrowed" like my PPS did... :P

And don't those folks at Walther have any of their own ideas anymore?

I dont see it....:P But I also looked at the Walther the other day. Its on my xmas list.

It doesn't look much different than an original P99, really... just a slightly reprofiled slide, different rail, and a new texture on the grip.

Ho hum... But if it shoots as good as the original, I may give one a try.
