Ghillie Kids...

For the past few years my kids have been going as Snipers for Halloween. Needless to say reactions are mixed. Some love it others are ready to call child protective services. Any hoo...

Thought I would post some picts of them.

Ben in his first Ghillie...

Bryan as the "White Spy" from Spy vs. Spy, and Ben in his Ghillie....

Last year when we made a new one, we took the left overs and made

"Ghillie Bears". Ben has since given an oral report for school on how to make a Ghillie Suit for hunting.

This year Bryan went as a sniper again, and Ben wanted to go as Darth Maul from Star Wars but also wanted to be a sniper as well... So he decide to go as "Sniper Maul"!

ha ha very nice. I got a ghillie this summer to have fun with the kids at a camp I worked at last summer. They all had fun. I know I did.

It is really funny to see how people react to the suits. most love it. We do get a few double takes, and weird looks at the halloween craft show in Franklin sometimes.

This year a couple of sweet old ladies came over to the boys and said

"Look what fine young soldiers!" And then she looked at me and my wife

and thanked us for dressing the boys as "Our brave young soldiers." I have to admit

it kind of got me. She was very sweet and genuine. I thanked her and her friend

and then me and my wife talked about it a lot on the way home.
