AR conversion kit-magazine modification for easy loading-how to

Anybody with one of the conversion kits knows just how difficult it is to load those pesky little 22s into the mags.

Here's a how-to on solving this problem:

Drill hole in mag base plate.

(one wolf knife for extra WIN)

Drill hole in mag follower.

Tie cord to follower.

(I used a cord from a set of cheap binoculars)

tie a piece of thread to the other end to help in feeding it through the hole in the base plate.(You really don't need a pic of this, but I took one anyway,so deal with it!)

Reassemble, and you're good for easy loading of those little 22s ;)

The line doesn't interfere with operation because the mag spring has its own channel that is separated from where the cord goes.

The cord itself runs down the mag in an empty space that ironically works perfectly for this.

It's like they knew I wanted to put a cord in there! ;)

As far as having it hang down,it's not a problem for me as I'm not doing any CONTACT rolls while using the conversion kit or anything that could cause the cord to be pulled on.
