So I found a bag of .40 brass with a red dot on it that said 11. So I thought it was $11 so I ask the guy how many was in the bag he said 250. He said turn the bag over it had a sticker that said 250 .40 brass and $18. And I ask if it was $11 like the other side sticker had on it. He said "No, That side has $18 on it" I told him I would buy the other side for $11. He said I guess you would. I just walked off.

Why would you put something out to sell with a sticker that says 11 and want to sell it for $18? Is it just to get peoples interest and then try to stick them when they pay?

Also saw small pistol primers for $54 per 1000.:poop:

They had a bunch and at that price.

Could have been a "stock" number. Like that was his 11th bag of .40SW brass and he just didn't catch it when putting out the bag.

It could have been anything, But at the time I thought I was going to get a good deal. And then he let me down. I just thought at the time it was crappy.:D

But now that I have thought about it:blush::D

Wow is 40 brass that high?

Yeah...no kidding!?!?

At my range I got tired of picking it up over the years after accumulating a couple of 5 gallon buckets....can't even give it away in Chattanooga.

Most places was $10 per hundred.

I guess im trying to figure out what the rub is.

So you saw some random number on the back of a bag, but on the other side is clearly marked both the price and quantity?

You then claim that most places are selling brass for .10 per piece, while the one you had such an "odd experience" with was selling his for .07 per piece?

Are you mad at him for not giving his product away?

Are you mad at yourself for being "one of those guys"

Are you mad because you didnt calculate the cost per, realizing you were getting a good deal at 18 bucks?

Im confused.

For 1, Im not mad.

I walked up to a table and there was .40 brass in a bag with 11 on a sticker. So I thought it was $11. I ask how many is in the bag and if it was 11 dollars. He said "turn it over". Now there is the sticker that says 250 .40 brass $18. I just thought it was odd it was laying there with an 11 sticker on it. Which made me think it was $11.

I did not think at the time that the guy before me may have turned the bag over.

Even at $11 that is high but I was willing to pay that much to bring it home yesterday.I found a place that sells a 1000 pieces for $25 on the internet.

And yes, I am one of those guys who will shop around and find the best deal.

Hey m&pc9, just so you know, Gunnys in Maryville sells their used brass $4 per pound. You can get a lot of brass for that. You didn't say whether or not the brass at the show was used or new -- why don't you give them a call and make sure they have it before you drive over there. Take a bag to put it in.
