Say no to Best Buy?

I don't mind stores being "inclusive" of other religions, but when so many stores crapped on Christmas the last few years, for them to now "cater" to other religions is a joke and a slap in the face. I haven't kept a list of every "offending" (of Christians) store out there, but I know some that banned "Christmas" have reversed their stance due to the backlash. I can't recall for sure, but I think Macy's is one. From this thread, it appears BB is another that has backstepped. I won't "shop" in those stores anymore. If I see something that is a killer deal there, yeah, I'll go take advantage of that sale.

I've always walked into BB like a kid walking into a candy store, but back in the good ole days of Circuit City vs. BB, it seems the BB clerks were all over me, in my face, saying "WE AREN'T PAID A COMMISSION LIKE THAT OTHER STORE." My experience 4 out of 5 time was the pimply-faced geek that was so proud of his hourly/salary pay didn't know jack compared to the commissioned salesman at CC. I hated to see CC go.

I pre-ordered Win7 back in July when MS was offering it nearly 50% off. I waited till the last minute to order, and when I did, BB was one of the last that still was accepting orders. I know the circumstances were odd due to it being a pre-order, but the despite there being a "pending" charge on my credit card from July to October, when I logged on to view my order and to change the ship-to address, my order number wasn't anywhere to be found. I had to call their 800 number. "Oh, yeah, it's on back order, so it's not showing up." WHY? Then the day before it shipped, it disappeared from my credit card statement. Then reappeared 2 days after it shipped. It shipped 24 hrs or more after they emailed me saying it had shipped, too. Just screwy all the way around.

regardless of what your opinion is about Christmas or how you or others celebrate it it IS a christian holiday. i really don't care about your beliefs but don't try to change what Christmas is really about and it isn't trees and gifts. our society is so caught up with the commercial side of it but it is about the birth of Jesus Christ. if you don't like it then don't celebrate.

Actually Christmas today is as much about religion as Easter is.

Sure it started out about religion, but as since turned into a non-religious holiday about Santa, and gifts that is celebrated by many regardless of faith.

I wasnt familiar with the term so I looked it up.

quite right I must say though.

actually humanists live for themselves and think that as long as it "feels good" it's ok and think that they should have to answer to no person or a superior being like GOD. in a nutshell that is what's wrong with our country today. humanists believe they are the "gods" of their own universe and what ever they do is ok.

see the bold type from my earlier post. regardless of this it still is a Christian holiday.

I cant really "answer" to a higher being if I realize their is no higher being no can I?

i can pull up bs off the net to prove my point as well but what's the point. there is a God and you will know it's true one day i'm just afraid it may be to late for you.

Not that I believe in that sort of thing, but I've always thought the height of comedy would be that when we die it turns out that some little tribe in the back of beyond are the only ones who have it right. They'll be standing around saying "Oh, hi there. Yeah, come on in. It's cool, you didn't know about The Great Sambidi, and that's okay."

But it doesn't matter, because those bushmen probably wouldn't shop at Best Buy either.

as for the first part of your post i to have always thought about that. but in truth NO ONE really knows for 100% certain what will happen when we die. that's why it's called faith and not fact. you have faith that there is no God and i have faith that there is. i NEVER think less of anyone no matter what they believe as long as they aren't hurting anyone else in the process. if you want to worship cows, trees, or the stuff caught in the drain of the kitchen sink i could care less. or if you want to be the god of your own little universe again i could care less. just don't think less of me because i believe Jesus Christ is the answer.

and the second part which is the main topic of this thread. i will continue to shop at best buy or should i say browse because i hardly ever buy anything from there.

Actually, I don't have faith that there is or isn't a God or an afterlife. I can honestly say I don't know, don't profess to know, and wouldn't tell another what they should or shouldn't believe. Unfortunately I do have an a tendency to come across as a smartass. Sorry about that.

Sorry guys but I love Best Buy,

I spent a bunch of money in the Mt Juliet store today, I bought the LED Samsung 55 inch 240 Hertz with a 4 year protection plan and a whole lot of extras, let me put it this way I saved over $650.00 on the TV alone (price difference in store and online) HH Gregg across the street wanted $1000.00 more than what I paid for my new TV

and I still have several reward zone points coming to me. The only downside is that it will not be delivered and set up until Dec 5th, I also got my little girls a 32 inch HD LCD TV that I just setup it in their room. anyway I am one very satisfied customer :tough:

pm me with what you got and I'll see if I can beat it and get it to you quicker
