A friend and outfitter in Northern Alberta told me when he was a teenager they would go to the dump where many black bear hang.They would pi$$ off the bear until they would approch the car,then him and his buddies would take turns getting out and have the bear chase them around the car.This reminded me of John's story.

Scams and conspiracies aside, the point of animal conservation is not to see the numbers of a species get so low that you can count them only on your fingers and toes before we protect them. I don't think the polar bears are dying, just migrating.
