IMO the 26 beats out the XD9sc because of the 1/2" longer barrel, and lower bore axis. Aside from that, they are both on the same playing field for the most part. The XD has more round capacity, but that is why they make magazines for guns. That extra 1/2" in barrel makes a pretty good difference in accuracy as well as velocity. In the end though, both are great guns. For those that say you might as well get a 19 over a 26... I carry my 26 in my pocket, I can't carry a 19 in my pocket.

I'd suggest renting them both and seeing which you like. I've shot both and find the .40 recoil a bit harsh on the small frame that they share.

My only requirements are that it needs to be small (easily concealable with dress slacks and a tucked in shirt), and a 9mm minimum in caliber.

We have all played this game and the first two always come out on top for concealability and quality.

I just threw the M&P compact in because I would pick it over anything you have listed, but it’s about as fat as a Glock or an XD.

One problem with the PX4 that may occur.... is the mag release able to be switched? I'm left-handed.

Leave it as is and use your index finger.
