I just dropped Mr. Conner an email and thanked him for his efforts and bravery, and invited him to drop in on our little group one day. SUNTZUs comment is almost a quote of part of my email that I didn't read until I hit send.

We are all negros today. We are feared by our "masters". And therefore we must be disarmed and rendered "safe" so as not to interfer with the continued power and lives of the masters.

I need to clean my EBRs....

I do respect the video, but I think it missed a MAJOR factor in gun violence.....economics.

I don't care if you're white, black, asian, or other.......you are FAR more likely to be convicted of a gun crime if you are unemployed.

Of course the gang bangers are carrying illegal weapons, they need them to stay safe while dealing drugs or while doing robbery or while protecting their turf. Please understand, I'm NOT talking about BLACK gang bangers but ALL of them.

When the economy is good and jobs are to be had, violent crime goes down. This had been proven many times in our society. In a recession, crime goes up. Most people (not all) will earn an honest living if you give them the chance and color is the major factor when opportunity is based on color.

You are more likely to be convicted of any crime if you are poor. I fought a gun charge and won. But only because I had the funds and the friendship of the best criminal attorneys in the area.

Absolutely correct, and that is what he was saying in the video about addressing the issues. If the government and the citizens acknowledge that the economy has more direct impact on crime than anything; they will have to do something about it. We have to take back our manufacturing base in this country and put people back to work. We have to make products and have good paying jobs; not be a service based economy. The government can’t fix that. It is directly on the shoulders of the American people. I believe our economy will eventually recover; but I also believe it will get much worse before most people wake up.

I like JPFO. I don't agree with everything they do or think, but I like them. How many conservative, pro-gun videos do you see that plainly point the undeniable reality that prohibition brings about crime syndicates? Good show. :koolaid:

I only watched the first minute or so of the video, but I've seen it before.

Contrary to the popular belief of some gun owners, gun control was not, and is not about race relations.

It may not be now, but you would have to ignore history to believe race didn't have a role in gun control. Do you think it is a coincidence that gun control went into overdrive when blacks stepped off a bus wearing berets, bloused boots, and carrying rifles and shotguns to protect demonstrators? (Someone can correct me if I wrong, but I think it was the Black Panthers.)

Great Post! Thanks.

I was just starting to hear about the original intent of gun control through some of the blogs that I read, and this confirms it.

Thanks again.
