Anyone watching WWII in HD?

It's a series that the History channel has been running this week. Tonight is the first time I've watched it, it's really something. Lots of color film, and film from the war. Very impressive.

I believe they said there are less then 10,000 veterans of WWII alive today.

I have been watching and the look on some of the vets making comments is heartbreaking. A couple say they still fight the fights and see the sights when they sleep.

Something to never be forgotten is the face of armed conflict.

Just had a few Vet's visit our museum from the 81st ID. There were 23 that visited with this group last year., 8 are left. They all fought at Pelilu together. The look in there eyes.

I have been soldiering 34 years. Never seen anything like these hero's. Different time, different war .

Watched it all last week....choked up almost twice an hour...Those MEN...are my HERO'S...I served for 20 years in the navy and my service PALES in comparison to them.

Its one of thebest series I have ever seen on the history channel and they have dome some great work
