Look At My New Toy!

Awhile back I bought a Kimber SIS Ultra from a great guy on TGO, se-real.

I love the gun, but never really liked the "blue" finish. I sent the gun to PA for a finish called "Metallife." (Google "Mahovsky's Metalife" to learn about the finish if you are interested.) My pistol came back home to TN and I thought you might want a look!

Guest hi im drummer03

Looks good. Didn the refinishing give better grip on the slide? I hear a huge complaint since it doesnt have serrations its hard to pull the slide back?

I had the same question: with no serrations, did you have enough grip to pull the slide. Two factors:

1. The "SIS" is cut deeply enough into the slide that it gives me equal "grab power" as if it had serrations.

2. The refinishing is not as slick as the original finish, so I do have better grip on the slide.
