The other day I met Sam Riley and we did a little horse trading,my horse is a used Springfield 1911 Compact in .45ACP,its a shooter thats for sure,I am a little skeptical of the 1911 with the shorter barrels(3 inch)but she ran fine,1 missfeed on a Winchester 230g JHP,switched to one of my Wilson magIMG_0879-1.jpg

IMG_0880-1.jpg and it ran like a top.I shot 50 FMJ 230g Winchester white box and 25 Winchester 230g Personal defense SXZ,it just shoots. Thanks Sam.Here is a couple of pics.

Very nice. I really like that.

I have the ported version of that gun and it works as well as yours. I think I had one misfeed out of 100 WWB the last time I played with it. I was pleasantly surprised that it did that well in the accuracy department.

Very manageable recoil,I think less than my G36,or so it seems.I think the bull barrel helps with recoil.

Yes sir minus the OD color finish, per chance did Sam get this pistol from you.Is it the same pistol I have now with the green finish removed.I would like a little history lesson if it is.

I got it about 3 month ago off gunbroker. It had a worn out trigger hammer and safety. Sent it back to the guy and he got it fixed up good. I was told that Larry Vickers did all the work. That’s all I know about it.

Love and care for it and it will love and care for you.

Thanks for the info,it looks too new internally to have many worn parts, almost like a new slide had been installed.Oh well it does shoot great.

I've been real pleased with the SA Micro-Compact . Better than 500 rounds through it so far, and only a couple misfeeds back in the first 20 or so. Haven't found an ammo it doesn't like so far: WWB 230 FMJ, Blazer 230 FMJ, Ranger 230 SXT, Federal AE. Recoil really isn't bad at all. Several friends have tried it out, and it seems to be pretty popular.
