The following states now honor the Tennessee Handgun Permit:

Minnesota, Nevada, and West Virginia. The state of Kansas also recently began to honor the Tennessee Handgun Permit.

We are up-dating the www.legallyarmed.com website and, all the state information will be current in a few days. Thought some of you might be interested in this news.

Would be nice if IL. would get with other states and their permits but I don't think that will ever happen.

We go to see family up there all the time and so we always have to keep things locked up and separated.

It's definetly a pain, I just moved to TN from IL. My parents and sister still live in IL, and as much as I don't like IL I still visit there quite frequently. It's definetly a pain in the butt to disarm at the border and then not be able to carry.

As long as there is a Daley in office in IL, there will be NO carrying.

Eh.. as long as Chicago is allowed to wag the dog, there won't be any carry in Illinois. It probably doesn't matter who is in office.

Chicago should be it's own little state. (IMHO)

Or moved into California and the combined entity lopped off and allowed to float out into the ocean.

lopped off = big earth quake we all know is coming

float = sink deeper then Atlantis

Is that what you meant? :P

I'd like to throw my voice behind the Chicago ideas. My in-laws are in southern IL, where you'd almost feel as at home as you do in TN, but thanks to brain-trust in Chicago, it will have to ride in the trunk.

I must confess I was very ignorant of IL and Chicago. I have to travel there from time

to time through the year. I was in Elgin and decided to take a littleride around and went through Dundee. WOW! Farm land! Rolling hills! Woo Hoo! LOL!!

It was really nice there. Older style houses, looked like a few old small farms. I couldn't imagine living there and having gun ownership so restricted. The people i talk to up there said that pretty much Chicago sets the rules for the whole state.

There seem to be quite a few of us that have moved from IL to TN. :yuck:

I dont understand the peach colored states because to the best of my knowledge TN does not issue non-resident permits.

The map looks like a blue-print for a new, improved U.S., getting rid of the liberal detritus at the edge.

I guess that's just because those states have a law only accepting resident permits. That seems to be a trend. Doesn't mean anything to a Tennessean.
