I had a Tasco Propoint red dot on mine and was pretty happy with it. You probably aren't going to shoot but 50 yards, maybe 100 accurately with a .22 anyway, so what's the need for a scope with magnification?

Not to say don't go that route, but red dot is great for 10/22's (my $.02)

If you want the look of the aimpoints but not the price I'd check out

It's a japanese company that sells clones. If you do a search on Ar15.com you'll find some write-up's and torture tests done on these optics and the reviews are quite good. Performance that equals the real thing for 10% of the price.

I would at least get a Barska for a traditional red dot, the low end Tasco's, Leapers, and similar have been known to just go out after minimal use.

I have one just like it and it is a fun gun. Mine came with a 1/2 inch rail but I have not used it. It is very accurate like came from the box with the fiber optics. 50 yds is good even with my tired old eyes. Have fun, I am taking mine and some other stuff to OH tomorrow.

I just ordered one of these Ruger 22LR 6 7/8 FIBER OPTIC, STAINLESS for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $458.00

today and am wondering what people's suggestions are for optics such as scopes or red dots. It's going to be just a fun gun and for the occasional varmint. It comes with a weaver rail. Thanks!

Sweet I just found me a flip to side magnifier for the Eotech :)

I wonder how many people are getting screwed at gun shows with these knockoffs....everything but the ACOG looks pretty damn real
