keep the thread from getting too confusing... i'd like to get some games going with people from tgo, dont know much about the stuff though, haven't done much online gaming since counter-strike. Tried joining that steam group...do you have to sign in on steam first??? just kept reloading the page everytime i hit join group

Dont quite understand what you mean by steam group...the game plays through Steam but you dont really have to do anything....its automatic.

I created a TGO Steam group: Steam Community :: Group :: TGO . I figured that'd make it easier for everyone. My user name is jlemons01. I can give you an invite to the group if you want. If you can't add it from their page (I couldn't) just right click on your Steam icon next to the clock and go to Community. There's a search bar up top, just type in Tennessee Gun Owners and it will show. You should be able to join from there.

let me clarify... forgot his tgo name but someone posted in another thread about a tgo steam group they started, i don't know what it would do exactly though. you can change your name in steam, i did it the other day. i'll change it again and put a nifty little -TGO- tag on the front of it.

Right click on your Steam icon and go to Settings and then to the Friends tab. You have an option there to change your nickname which is what people will see you as.

it seems i read somewhere that people can't host games etc... making 'clan' play virtually impossible. i'm not at home right now but could have swore i saw a 'private match' thing in the multiplayer menu...couldnt we all just do one of those???

Magic, you can change your name through the Steam Client. Look under settings, friends, and the first box you can change your name.

You must log in to the web page. I did the same thing. It has a login button on the page for the steam group.

tried starting a private match amd sending invites last night, dont think that works though. i did goto my friends list and right click on a name that was playin multiplayer and was able to join the game they were in. i guess if you want a private match it has to be more organized....dunno exactly yet. dont think i'll be home tonight, if i am i'll be on around 11:30 or so.

Had a good time last night, I enjoyed hardcore mode. Was a little tricky though. I shot an enemy and kept firing after he went down only to find Tactical Armadillo right behind him. That was pretty funny. Sorry for the ventilation dude.

It's all good. I think it was Daniel that dropped a Predator missile on my head, that didn't end well for me . Hardcore is a pain in the butt, I'm bad enough at regular mode.

I only play HC on cod4. I wish the predator had the red boxes around the friendlies on this. will have to do it in conjuntion with UAV to be effective I guess.
