What can everyone tell me about this gun? I just purchased a used one from Bud's in excellent condition that should arrive later this week. I went with the .40S&W. I have held these guns for the past few months at gun shows and LOVE the feel of them. How do they shoot? What else can anyone tell me about them?

My wife's only gun is the .40 239 and she shoots it very well. The grip is awesome. Shouldn't be any feeding probs with this single stack. If it's currently appropriate for the feds, it should serve you well. Zero malfunctions after thousands of rounds. Cleaning the recoil spring is more than most, but a toothbrush does well. Congrats for buying quality.

Ditto on the weight, but other than that loved mine. Had a SAS 9mm.

The weight wasn't bad as far as carrying, but how it felt distributed throughout the pistol. Just seemed like it wanted to tilt forward when you held it with anything other than a very firm grip.

A great pistol though, one of my favorite SIG models.

Factory grips are way too small IMO and I have medium size hands. Hogue finger groove grips feel great and round the (annoying) flat front strap. I put Nills on mine and love 'em.

Great pistol, nary a malf of any kind in the 2 or 3 thousand rounds I have fired.

One of my favorite Sigs, looks great, shoots great and 100% reliable. The P239's are known to wear a little on the frame/slide rails so get some good lube like the Brian Eno's slide glide which is what I used on my P239 and all my Sigs and my DW PM7!!!! COOP
