encore pistol

i have an encore prohunter and i'm thinking of getting a 15inch barrel with a rifle cartridge like a 243 or 260 remington so i can hunt with it in indiana. does anybody have one or have any experience with them? kick like a mule? not accurate....accurate? let me know, thanks!

Is YOUR Encore a rifle? If so, you'll be breaking the ever so logical federal firearms laws.

That said, the Encore pistols usually out shoot the rifles. The 30-30 Contender doesn't kick anymore than a 44mag.

I have the 30-30 contender and it is very accurate out to 100 yards. I have not shot it past that range, forgot to add it has a 15" barrell with muzzle brake, recoil is not bad at all.
