Bringing the family to Chattanooga

I am coming to Chattanooga from Atlanta tomorrow. Going to the tourist attractions anything I need to know about carrying in TN or Chat (I have a GA permit) ? Also what are the laws regarding long guns? I like to roll with the AR in the trunk? I am going to look through the TN laws but there is always things that are missed or confusing in these laws.

Can't tell you about postings on many attractions, but the Tennessee Aquarium is said to have a small non-compliant one somewhere...I carried there (concealed) and never noticed.

Loaded long guns are okay in car in TN with your permit BUT can't have one in the chamber.

Any business can post a no carry sign but they are supposed to be of certain wording (or actually, "substantially similar" to the wording, a real gray area - a simple "no guns" type logo is not)....of course, well concealed carry avoids a multitude of worries about that sort of thing.

Oh, law changed to allow carry in municipal public parks, but cities/counties can opt out of that - all Chattanooga parks are supposedly no carry zones, but are also supposed to be posted with exact wording, although there's a couple sections of greenway I walk when down there that have no signs at all.

Hopefully, some actual residents of there will chime in, I only visit every 6 weeks or so.

Well we went to the Aquarium today and there is a sign that says "no weapons." Lucky for me I didnt have a weapon I had a tool, so not an issue. Went to sticky fingers for dinner and some ice cream shop, all in all a great time. hopefully tomorrow will be the same!
