While I believe this is sound advice, that I follow, the current .2% you would get on a savings account is pretty much negligable.

Im not talking about earning interest as it is pretty negligable even through an on line only bank. I'm talking about PayGo.

Why pay interest to have what you can't really afford? Buy it when you can afford it and dont pay any interest at all.

This kind of spending is what will destroy our country as it is what the majority of our politicians and our people believe in. Just look to this thread, precious few posters in 3 pages have advocated saving up for the purchase while countless others have suggested numerous ways for the OP to go deeper into debt.
