Hmmm, reading the Reuters article linked there doesn't seem as ominous as the thread title suggests. This is that same tired old UN resolution and apparently some groups are unhappy that the new US stance is 100% consensus is necessary for passage. When has 100% of the UN ever agreed on anything? I think we can count on China or Russia for a veto. :D

This guy scares me. You all have probably been getting the calls from the NRA in fighting this also. Hillary has been discussing this for some time. This would be a sad mistake in this country. The straw that broke the camel's back and sends it's 2nd amendment supporters in a direction they don't want to see. I will give my life and march with my brothers to support the 2nd. Nobody is taking my guns!

Yes different articles. I guess the collapse of our economy is less important than gun control treaties.

that infowars stuff is usually crap. Thats the same a$$hole that said 9/11 was an inside job. :D

Rule #1, I generally take very little credence from sites that are essentially blogs.

Infowars has put out continuing "alerts" regarding proposed legislation that was killed a year or two in the past.

Source of much of the "have you heard about this!" tiresome postings on every gun board.

Alex Jones is not a good source. He's just out to make a buck and he'll say anything to do it. I heard him make the 9/11 comment on a late night radio show I listen to on occasion. He lost all credibility right then.

I work with some people that swear by Alex jones( he does make a good show) and only that. I still have not bought into the, "The world is out to get me" mentality it seems he and his show portrays.

I don't trust Obama and Pelosi, Or any other democrat out there. But it seems most all politicians are the same these days. 2 sides of one "coin".

Just wish the politicians would follow the Constitution and try to get things back to where they were before the overgrowth and intruding ways of the U.S. government began.

I had intended to point out that the guy could not be correct because ratification of a treaty requres 2/3 approval of both the House & Senate, but in confirming that, I found out that I am the 1 who may be wrong! check it out: Treaty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

looks like Obama can pretty well do it on his own, if he wants. but don't worry: haven't we been assured that he has "no ontention" of taking away our constitutional gun rights?
